Rexcell ist eine superweiche, aber starke Faser. Sie ist fliessend und hat einen matten, seidigen Griff. Der Stoff wird, ähnlich wie Lyocell, aus Zellulose hergestellt. Bei Rexcell stammt die Zellulose von japanischem Eukalyptus.
